Alert! can also diagnose any machine connected via modem and phone lines. Each end (the machine with Alert! and the remote machine) must have a Hayes compatible modem connected to a standard phone line.
The only additional requirement for diagnosing via a modem is to install the Remote Communicator Application on the machine to be diagnosed. This is a free program that is available both on the Alert! disk and on various online services such as CompuServe and America Online.
